Terms of Use

Version 1.4 — 4 October 2026 · Français

Version 1.4, in force since 4 October 2026. By creating an ADVMAP account you accept these terms. They form the agreement between you and the app's publisher.

1. Purpose

ADVMAP is a GPX track sharing app for motorcyclists. It lets you browse a map, import and publish tracks, analyse their terrain, follow a track out on the road, post to a feed, exchange private messages and organise rides with other users.

ADVMAP lets you follow a track, but it is not a turn-by-turn navigation device: it does not calculate routes and takes no account of traffic, road signs or local regulations. To get back to a trace or to its start, it hands you over to the navigation app of your choice.

Basic access is free. Some features require a paid subscription, described in section 11. ADVMAP may also be funded in part by advertising: the Privacy Policy sets out on what conditions, and what would require your consent.

2. Who publishes ADVMAP

ADVMAP is published by Sylvain Chanuc, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) trading as SISILAB, 8 rue Paul Gauzy, 32000 Auch, France (SIRET 531 101 566 00036).

Contact: advmap@sisilab.app. Full details are in the Legal Notice.

3. Minimum age: 18

ADVMAP is for people aged 18 or over. By creating an account you declare that you are at least 18.

This limit is not decorative: the app gives access to content published by other users and to a private messaging system between adults, with no parental controls.

Any account we learn belongs to someone under 18 is deleted.

4. Your account

Accounts are created through Google or Apple. For those accounts we handle no passwords: the security of your sign-in depends on the security of the account you use.

Signing in with an email address and password also exists, but it is reserved for accounts created by the ADVMAP team, for example so that app stores can review the app. It cannot be used to create an account.

An account is personal. You are responsible for what is done from yours.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Your data, without giving a reason and without writing to us.

5. What you publish

You remain the owner of the tracks, photos and texts you publish.

By publishing them, you grant us a free, non-exclusive right to host, display, reproduce and distribute them within ADVMAP, for as long as they remain published and solely in order to operate the service. This right ends when you delete them. We do not resell them and we do not exploit them elsewhere.

When you publish a track publicly, you also allow other users to use it for their personal use: download its file, adapt it for themselves ("My version": trim, reverse, chain), turn it into a roadbook they can print or share with their riding companions, and export it to their GPS, enriched with points taken from OpenStreetMap ("For my GPS"). Deleting your track does not erase copies already downloaded.

You warrant that you have the right to publish what you publish: that the track is yours or that you may share it, that you took the photos or have their author's permission, and that identifiable people in your photos agree to appear.

6. What is not allowed

The following are prohibited, among others: illegal, hateful, discriminatory, violent, harassing, sexual or shocking content; impersonation; spam and unsolicited advertising; publishing someone else's personal data without their consent; any attempt to access other users' accounts or data; automated extraction of the app's content.

Also prohibited is publishing tracks you know to run along routes closed to motor vehicles, across private property without permission, or through protected natural areas.

Republishing another user's track publicly, even modified, without their agreement is also prohibited.

Likewise, a trail report must describe what you actually saw: false or abusive reports are prohibited.

These rules apply to private messages too: a conversation being private does not make harassment acceptable.

7. Moderation, reporting and blocking

Any content published in ADVMAP — track, post, comment, event, profile, trail report — can be reported from within the app, giving a reason and, if you wish, an explanation. A private message or an event chat message can be reported too, with a long press on the message you received.

Every report is reviewed. Content that breaches these terms may be removed, and its author warned, suspended or excluded, depending on severity and repetition. An administrator may view reported content in order to decide, including content that is not public. For a message, they see only the reported message, never the rest of the conversation.

You can also block another user, from their profile or with a long press on one of their messages. Blocking is your decision, not ours, and it works both ways: their tracks, posts, comments and reviews are hidden from you, and yours from them; you can no longer message each other privately; you no longer appear to each other in events or their chat.

Their profile card — username, picture, bio — stays visible, as it is to anyone, even without an account: it is their content that disappears for you, and yours for them. They are not told that you blocked them. You can lift the block whenever you want, in Settings > Blocked people.

Finally, you can write to advmap@sisilab.app for any urgent report or to challenge a moderation decision. We do reply.

8. Road safety: your responsibility

This is the most important section of this document.

ADVMAP displays tracks recorded by other users. They are not vetted routes, not recommendations, and no guarantee that a trail is rideable, open or safe.

You remain solely responsible for your riding, your speed, your gear, the condition of your machine, and compliance with traffic law and local regulations. Do not handle your phone while riding: in navigation mode, set up the display before you set off and mount your phone in a suitable holder.

A track may be old, badly recorded, or cross terrain that has since changed, deteriorated or been closed. An area shown as rideable may no longer be. Terrain analysis — and therefore the surface indicator shown in navigation — is an automated estimate, fallible by design.

Away from open roads, motorised traffic is regulated and sometimes forbidden. In France as elsewhere, it is up to you to check before riding that the route is open to motor vehicles, and to respect private property and protected natural areas.

Points of attention (fords, barriers…), useful places (fuel stations, water points…) and the fuel range alert come from OpenStreetMap and from what you enter: they may be incomplete, wrong or out of date — a station may be closed. Always keep a fuel margin.

Trail reports (fallen tree, closed track, flooded ford…) are published by other riders at a given moment: they may be wrong or out of date, and the absence of a report does not mean the way is clear.

ADVMAP is not an alert or rescue service. Group mode indications — who has stopped, who is falling behind — depend on each rider's network and battery, and may be missing. In an emergency, call 112.

9. What we do not guarantee

ADVMAP is provided as is. We do our best to keep it working, without guaranteeing that it will always be available, free of errors, or that the data shown is accurate or up to date.

Part of the app depends on outside services — base maps, geocoding, terrain analysis, hosting. An outage on their side can degrade or interrupt the service without us being able to prevent it.

We are not liable for content published by users, nor for damage resulting from its use, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, in particular for gross negligence or personal injury.

10. Backing up your data

ADVMAP is not an archiving service. Keep your original GPX files on your own side.

You can export your data at any time from Settings > Your data.

11. Premium subscription

Some features require a paid subscription, with no commitment period.

The subscription is sold and charged by the app store — App Store or Google Play — not by us. Payment, invoicing, automatic renewal, cancellation and any refunds are handled by the store under its own terms, and are managed from your Apple or Google account settings.

Unless cancelled before the end of the current period, the subscription renews automatically.

As this is digital content supplied immediately, you waive your fourteen-day right of withdrawal as soon as the subscription is activated, in accordance with article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

If a Premium feature disappears for good, you can cancel through your store. Offline viewing does not replace proper route preparation.

12. ADVMAP's intellectual property

The ADVMAP name, its logo, its interface and its code belong to its publisher. These terms transfer none of those rights to you: they grant you only a personal right to use the app.

Map data belongs to its respective providers, in particular OpenStreetMap contributors and the French national mapping agency (IGN), under their own licences. The points added to "For my GPS" files come from OpenStreetMap, under the ODbL licence.

13. Suspension and termination

You can stop using ADVMAP and delete your account whenever you like.

We may suspend or delete an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, or that endangers other users or the service. Except in cases of obvious abuse or legal obligation, we will tell you the reason and you can challenge it at advmap@sisilab.app.

If ADVMAP were to shut down, we would give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

14. Personal data

What we collect, why, who we share it with and what rights you have are set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the service evolves. The version in force is the one shown here and on advmap.sisilab.app, with its date.

If we make a significant change, we will tell you in the app and ask for your agreement again. If you refuse, you can delete your account.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law.

If you live in the European Union, you also keep the mandatory protections of your country of residence: nothing here can take them away.

If something goes wrong, write to us first at advmap@sisilab.app: most situations are settled that way. Failing agreement, you may bring the matter before the competent court. As a consumer, you may choose either the French courts or those of your place of residence.

ADVMAP is accessible from any country. If you use it outside the European Union, it is up to you to check that doing so is lawful there.
